Terms and Conditions:

Registration Deposits, Payment Terms, Discounts & Refund Policies

  • An annual nonrefundable and nontransferable registration fee and a tuition deposit for the last month of the academic year, is due upon registration.
  • A full tuition refund will be given if enrollment to the afterschool and/or summer programs is cancelled by June 1st, 2020.
  • Students need to start afterschool at Positive Ally no later than the 15th day after enrollment into the program unless explicitly exempted by Positive Ally management. Failure to join the afterschool program by the 15th day after enrollment, at the sole discretion of management, may result in the termination of admission or change of enrollment status from active to dormant student. Dormant students will be charged a daily tuition fee of 40% of the applicable daily tuition rate.
  • Cancellation of admission in afterschool program after June 1st, 2020 and through to August 21st, 2020 will result in refund of 40% of the tuition deposit only. Cancellation on or after August 22nd, 2020, or during school year requires a 30-calendar day notice period or a month’s tuition in lieu thereof.
  • Tuition for the Afterschool Academy program is an annual program fee that may be paid in a lump sum or divided into ten (monthly) installments for your convenience. The installment is $695 for Chantilly. This tuition can be different if an authorized promotion is in effect. There is no discount for paying the annual program fee upfront.
  • Tuition for the Afterschool Academy program is computed per the number of actual school days in a school year and do not include holidays & vacation days. This is typically 180 days over 10 months.
  • Tuition for Summer Camp is computed per week @ $395 for full time week and progressive discounts are given based on the number of weeks enrolled with maximum discount for enrollment in 10 weeks. Tuition for half-day week is $199 for AM Enrichment camp, $199 plus $51 – $71 for AM Specialty camp (depending on specialty camp selected), and $250 for PM camp, with no discounts for multiple weeks of just half-days.
  • There are no refunds for absences or snow days or for closures due to force majeure unless otherwise decided based on the locality and local school district policy.
  • Tuition and any late pickup fees for After School are due on the first day of each month. You will receive an electronic invoice each month for tuition. However, tuition is due every month irrespective of whether you receive the invoice or not.
  • Late pickup fees for Summer Program for the week must be settled on the day of the lateness by cash or check.
  • Monthly tuition payments can be made via electronic bank direct deposit or paper checks. There will be a convenience fee of $3.50 applied for handling each paper check.
  • A $15 late fee will be applied for payments received after the 7th of the month.
  • If an account is more than one month in arrears, payment arrangements must be in place to maintain enrollment.
  • If your account is overdue, more than one month, in addition to the $15 fee, there will be a penalty of 12% of the outstanding amount assessed.
  • Submission of registration form does not guarantee admission in a program. Tuition will be refunded if admission is not accepted or if we cancel a program due to any reason.

Transportation and Field Trips Authorization

I authorize the Positive Ally staff to pick up my child from their school and transport them to the center (by foot or vehicle as applicable). I also authorize my child to participate in field trips. I understand that I will be given prior notice of each trip. I further authorize the center staff to take my child into and out of the classroom to a playground or park for recess or sports.

Health and Safety

Positive Ally agrees to notify the parent(s)/guardian(s) whenever the child becomes ill and the parent(s)/guardian(s) will arrange to have the child picked up as soon as possible if so requested by the center.

The parent(s)/guardian(s) authorize Positive Ally to obtain immediate medical care is any emergency occurs when the parent(s)/guardian(s) cannot be located immediately. If there is an objection to seeking emergency medical care, a statement should be obtained from the parent(s) or guardian(s) that states the objection and the reason for the objection.

The parent(s)/guardian(s) agree to inform the center within 24 hours or the next business day after his/her child or any member of the immediate household has developed a reportable communicable disease, as defined by the State Board of Health, except for life-threatening diseases which must be reported immediately.

Photograph, Audio, Video Waiver

For valuable consideration I hereby give the absolute and irrevocable right and permission with respect to the photographs and videos (including any applicable audio) of my minor child in which he/she may be included with others for the purpose(s) of company collateral, newsletter, sharing with parents and students.

The permissions granted herein apply solely to images taken while your child was under company’s charge, and include the rights: a) To copyright the same b) To use, re-use, publish and re-publish the same in whole or in part, separately or in conjunction with other photographs, in any medium now or hereafter known, and for purposes given above

This authorization and release shall inure to the benefit of the legal representatives, licensees and assigns of the photographer as well as the person(s) for whom he/she took the photographs.

Authorized Consent

It is understood that our program is operating following all the rules and regulations and best practices of VDSS (Virginia Department of Social Services). We are operating legally under the conditions of the following licensing exemption, according to VDSS License Standards:

“A program where, by written policy given to and signed by a parent or guardian, children are free to enter and leave the premises without permission or supervision regardless of (i) such program’s location or the number of days per week of its operation; (ii) the provision of transportation services, including drop-off and pick-up times; or (iii) the scheduling of breaks for snacks, homework, or other activities. A program that would qualify for this exemption except that it assumes responsibility for the supervision, protection and well-being of several children with disabilities who are mainstreamed shall not be subject to licensure;”

I fully understand and agree to the above condition under which Positive Ally will be operating.  I authorize my child(ren) to attend Positive Ally under the above conditions.

Waiver of Liability

I hereby waive and release for myself, my heirs, executor assigned and personal representative any and all rights and claims for damages I now or may hereafter have, whether now known or unknown against Academy of Leadership and Life Skills for Youth or its partners for any injuries that occur in connection with participation in the after school program including transportation

Tuition — Afterschool and Summer programs

Your registration will be complete only after we receive all outstanding fees i.e. annual registration fee + either last month’s tuition installment (for afterschool) or 50% of total tuition (for summer camp):

Afterschool program:

  • Chantilly Center Tuition installment for last month (June) is $695; Total with registration fee = $75 + $695 = $770
  • Pickup Time is at 6:00pm, there is a $1/min. late pickup fee.
  • Extended Care for After School is available until 6:30p for $400 / 180 school days (roughly $2.22/day). Payment for Extended Care is added at $40 to the monthly installment payment for the After School Program.
  • Van drop-off service is available to Ashburn/Brambleton customers at $360 / 180 school days ($2/day). Payment for this is added at $36 to the monthly installment payment for the After School Program

Summer program:

  • Drop off Time for Full Day and AM Enrichment is at 8:15am. Even though staff may be at the center, the doors will not be open until 8:15am.
  • Drop off Time for AM Specialty is at 9:00am (unless otherwise arranged).
  • Pick-up Time for AM Specialty is at 12:00pm (unless otherwise arranged).
  • Pick-up Time for AM Enrichment is at 1:00pm
  • Pick-up Time for PM camp and Full Day is at 5:45pm. There is a $1/min. late pickup fee.
  • Extended Care for Summer Program is available until 6:30p for $25/week. You must pay for extended care for all weeks you are registered for, and payment is made upfront.
  • Van pick-up and drop-off service is available to Ashburn/Brambleton customers at $15 / week ($3/day). Payment for this is made for all weeks registered for summer.

Week of July 4th will be a 4-day camp and so will be discounted by 15% of the total tuition
*If the AM camp selected is a specialty camp, then add $51 per specialty camp, except $71 for each of the STEM camps (Amusement Park & Physics Innovators Camps), and Outdoor Survival Camp.
